Jesus XP is a Jesus-centered discipleship experience that provides a framework for spiritual formation. Together, small groups are invited to explore the life of Jesus by reading through the Gospels as they discover spiritual practices that center them in the Jesus way and learn how to walk with Jesus in everyday life. Rather than focusing on Bible study, this space invites you to observe, question, and rediscover Jesus’ life in community.
The framework for each session includes a Bible reading, discussion around the life of Jesus, and engagement around a spiritual practice. Between sessions, participants will read the words of Jesus and commit to spiritual practices to deepen their connection with God. At the end of the 8 sessions, the journey continues with a personal experience that opens space for ongoing curiosity around the words and ways of Jesus.
How is the Book of John unique?
John traces Jesus as from “In the beginning,” present at creation. This Gospel was written to help readers understand that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, they can have life in his name (John 20:31). John describes a new way of understanding our relationship to the living God, one rooted in abiding presence. John knew Jesus as a friend, teacher, and Savior.
